The connected car is perhaps one of the biggest areas of automotive development right now, but testing connected vehicle applications is not easy. Not only is it difficult to set up and reproduce test conditions, but a limited number of test conditions can be achieved and safety/damage risks limit the work that can be done. Addressing these challenges is Mx-Drive from Danlaw. This multi-vehicle and infrastructure mobility simulator provides an environment to generate and run real-world conditions. Mx-Drive lets users specify the route of the vehicle under test and the routes of all the other vehicles that will be transmitting V2X messages, define the behaviour of V2X infrastructure, and produce coordinated GPS, vehicle bus and RF transmissions.
