Kvaser debuts CanKing 7 CANbus analyzer software

The latest CanKing 7 has been released by Kvaser. It is a free-of-charge CAN analysis software designed to meet the needs of engineers testing and debugging CAN networks.

The CanKing 7 has been fully redesigned to enhance the user experience and introduce a variety of features and improvements.

Martin Sventén, Kvaser’s CEO, said, “At Kvaser, we seek to accompany engineers on their CAN journey. This often starts early in development, before a project can justify the acquisition of feature-rich tools.”

Some key features of the CanKing 7 include a modern graphical user interface (GUI), support for Linux – ARM64 and x64 architectures, and multiple workspaces such as CAN Trace, CAN Bus Statistics, CAN Send and CAN Periodic Send.

Moog to exhibit test solutions at Automotive Testing Expo North America 2024

Moog will present hydraulic test actuators, test controllers, hydraulic service manifolds, silent hydraulic power units and motion systems at Automotive Testing Expo North America 2024 (booth 10034), taking place October 22-24 in Novi, Michigan.

“We’re ready to meet our customers’ unique application challenges with building blocks or complete turnkey solutions,” said Larry Rogers, key account manager, automotive test. “Our solutions for test lab managers speed up the introduction of new products by efficiently managing costs and increased regulations.”

Moog’s line-up of solutions includes simulation tables, multi-axis test systems, and four-poster test rigs.

NXP unveils S32J Ethernet switches and network controllers

The new S32J family of high-performance Ethernet switches and network controllers by NXP Semiconductors provide 80Gbps bandwidth with ports ranging from 10Mb to 10Gb, and powerful dual Arm Cortex-R52 cores to address the requirements of new vehicle architectures.

The S32J devices meet time-sensitive networking (TSN) automotive standards and provide robust ASIL-D safety, hardware security engine (HSE) and MACsec ports for mixed-critical data traffic.

The S32J family shares a common switch core, NXP NETC, with NXP’s latest S32 microcontrollers and processors.

ZF opens 800V Test & Validation Laboratory in the UK


ZF opens 800V Test & Validation Laboratory in the UK

ZF has opened the UK’s first-of-its-kind hazardous voltage Test & Validation Laboratory at its R&D hub near Solihull. The main aim is to accelerate the adoption of 800V architectures with improved efficiency, charging and vehicle performance advantages for EVs.

Partially funded by the Advanced Propulsion Centre (APC), the 800V test and validation facility will offer ZF and its customers specialist hazardous voltage testing capacity. ZF will offer validation testing to third parties and the facility already holds several national, international and customer accreditations to work with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs.

Applus Idiada has opened a new cutting-edge Battery Safety Lab expanding its testing and validation capabilities for the safety and performance for battery systems in the automotive industry.

The new lab spans over 2,000m2  dedicated to battery abuse testing, making it one of the largest and most comprehensive facilities of its kind. The lab can conduct a wide range of tests including thermal propagation, fire resistance, drop tests, crush and water immersion. These procedures enable Applus Idiada to evaluate and improve product performance under various challenging conditions, ensuring they meet strict safety and quality standards.

Fyous to unveil the PolyMorphic 28k ultrafast mold-making system


Fyous to unveil the PolyMorphic 28k ultrafast mold-making system

Fyous will premiere the PolyMorphic 28k at Formnext in Germany in November 2024. The equipment uses densely packed pins to create custom molds in minutes, and consists of the pin tool plus a forming machine into which the pin tool is inserted.

A 3D CAD model of the mold to be formed is used to move the pins into position. As a result, the technology can create a mold in 20 minutes. Rapid prototyping is one of the key advantages and applications of the technology, specifically when the number of iterations starts to increase.
