Sensuron will be presenting its alternative to resistive strain gauges for measuring structural deformation. The company says that its optical sensing technology improves accuracy and addresses various other limitations of resistive strain gauges, which will open up as yet unrealized possibilities for better design, test and field products and applications.

As fiber-optic technology uses one continuous fiber, data is more granular, and the equipment is easier to install than a large number of individual strain gauges.

Sensuron will also exhibit the Summit sensing system, which can continuously monitor four fibers simultaneously, with 2,000+ sensors per fiber.
