The ELM series measurement modules are the latest addition to Beckhoff’s EtherCAT family of components. Being part of the EtherCAT family, they are perfectly compatible with Beckhoff’s I/O system and can therefore be seamlessly combined with the company’s portfolio of more than 500 EtherCAT terminals. Beckhoff claims the ELM-series I/O system delivers exceptional measurement accuracy and communication speeds in a standard control platform.
It features metal housings that optimize shielding and cooling in measurement technology applications. They also provide enhanced flexibility at the interface level, such as for LEMO or BNC plug connectors or for cage clamps as a customizable, standard solution. The ELM series boasts measurement accuracy of 100 ppm at 23°C, precise sub-1μs synchronization, 24-bit resolution and a sampling rate of up to 50,000 samples per second.
