Robotic leak detection

Leak detection equipment supplier Inficon will demonstrate robotic leak detection methods at the 2018 Automotive Testing Expo. On display will be the company's new XL3000flex, which Inficon claims will ‘sniff’ extremely small leaks up to 20 times more quickly than most current systems. The XL3000flex can detect leaks at sample flows of 300 or 3,000 sccm (standard cubic centimeters per minute), making it ideal for robotic sniffing. Most conventional sniffers are only capable of sniffing at 60-150 sccm – too slow to meet typical production cycle-time requirements.
