Impedyme’s solutions are engineered to address various technical challenges associated with connecting a real-time simulator with an amplifier to create a PHIL setup such as system stability, signal accuracy, interface compatibility, safety and reliability. Integrated with MATLAB Simulink, the test systems offer flexible real-time simulation test editing functions to perform independent channel tests, and conform to various requirements for testing, such as battery module/pack testing and emulation, motor testing and emulation and inverter testing and optimization.

Impedyme’s CHP futureproof framework supports task execution of fundamental frequency up to 20kHz and includes model and simulation support. The highest level of flexibility allows the module size with ~ 19in, 4U with 50KW output power and scalable up to 5MW power. The efficient packaging includes the filters (passive elements) inside a ~ 19in, 4U close-system unit. An ultra-fast communication protocol using optical links enables the system to work for different PHIL applications, specifically those that need to deploy each PHIL component in one of the modules and be connected to each other (daisy chain) or external HIL.
