New precision wheel force transducer
Michigan Scientific Corporation

Michigan Scientific Corporation has released the new LW65, the first in a line of precision wheel force transducers (WFT). The LW65 is extremely high accuracy. All six channels have typical non-linearity error and hysteresis below 0.15% of full scale. Michigan Scientific has made additional strides by including ISO 17025 certification and SAE J328 certification.

Their unique design enables operation with either a high-quality Michigan Scientific outboard slip-ring assembly or inboard wireless telemetry data transmission system. The outboard slip-ring assembly package provides extremely fast installation and setup; the inboard wireless telemetry package is ideal for public road and extreme off-road testing.

The LW65 is designed to withstand the increased mass and cornering loads of electric vehicles. It has enough capacity to test any electric passenger vehicle. Its robust IP67 design is ideal for the harshest track and off-road measurements as well as non-spinning applications to monitor and control lab test rigs.

The new LW60 and LW25 are scheduled to be released in the third quarter of 2021. These new models will have a similar level of accuracy as the LW65 WFT but at lower capacities and system weights.
