Hub-mounted chassis dynamometer
Toyo Corporation - Booth 8030
The Toyo Corporation will be introducing its new hub dyno, the Rototest Energy (RE), at Automotive Testing Expo in Novi. The RE is an electric chassis dynamometer that fits to each drive wheel hub to avoid the slip between the rollers and the wheels that is common on rolling roads.
Toyo’s 4Q control system and Active Inertia technology simulate the vehicle’s mass and resulting inertia electronically to replicate road driving. This makes the RE suitable for ECE/EG, US06 and FTP75 tests, among others.
Another benefit of the RE is its quick installation. A complete system can be set up at a new test site in only a few days, to maximize availability and productivity while minimizing cost and downtime. The system can also be installed in existing anechoic and environmental chambers
